Blurred Vision

There is something out that longs for us to deny the truth, to try to find our own path, and to try to find hope in worldly things. It is the ruler of this world that seeks to destroy us. He feeds us lies, that allow us to be happy in our ravenous ways. It is the psychomachia, the struggle of our souls. It is the war that has gone on for centuries and could go on for centuries more. The Dark Ruler seeks to keep us focused so intenly on one thing that we do not see the big picture (change blindness---look it up). Our eyes are taken off of God, and we no longer have the view we once had to be able to see that God has everything in control. It is a slow process, the Dark Ruler likes to get you warmed up to things. That way you never noticed what happened (just like a frog who sits in pot of water that's temp is gradually raised until it is boiling, and never even notice).
